Journal Research (Online)

I typed in 'journal on domestic violence against women' into Google scholar and found a journal that related to my chosen area of abuse. I ensured that I to used the right word or phrase in order to find that specific information that I needed for my research. However, even with utilizing the right words into the Google scholar, majority of the websites that I was resulted with did not relate to my specific search. However, in order for me to get the information that I needed, I realised that patience was the key.

I finally found this online journal that was comprised with facts on Domestic Violence against Women, and the scientific phase of it. This not only helped me understand why this type of incidents occur, but how women get themselves in this situation. This gave me an idea for my short film and how I can portray my abuser by showing the different stages of what the abuser goes through till the break out. Some of the facts that has been stated in this journal makes me realise actually how much worse this situation has evolved to.
"It is estimated that at least 4 million women experience a serious assault by an intimate male partner during an average 12-month period.” I feel like I have made the right decision by choosing to focus on this topic and raising awareness about it.
